Why Inaugural exists
We are experts in incubating companies. Our founding team has a combined experience of 40 years in start-ups and high growth technology companies including Y Combinator, Google, Apple and Entrepreneur First. During that time we've seen a pattern in how people build companies:
- Someone decides to start a company.
- They find an idea.
- They raise funding, hire a team, build the idea.
- The idea doesn't work, but they raise more funding to keep iterating.
- The idea still doesn't work and they start asking their customers what they really need.
- They restart the business around this new idea.
Sometimes step 5 works, and sometimes it doesn't. But it usually takes at least 5 years of work and selling 50% of the company's equity. It also leaves founders and teams exhausted.
Our objective is to start teams at the end of step 5 and use our unique methodology to maximise the speed and chances of their success.
Why we focus on AI
We believe that application-layer AI businesses will build value in niches that don't necessarily fit the traditional venture capital model.
There is an opportunity to build low-OPEX, profitable companies in problem areas where AI technology enhances the user experience and value creation infinitely.
Our focus is on building highly acquirable companies in the region of £50-100m.
